Lawton, OK – According to the city officials, this is mostly in effort to increase efficiency and promote world-class customer service.
Previously, anyone wanting to establish an account to have water turned on in the City of Lawton would have to come to City Hall and pay a cash deposit.
With the new feature of the Citizen Self Service Portal, citizens can now request a new service and pay their $150 deposit online via credit/debit card or bank account.
To set up a new account, residents will visit selfservice.lawtonok.gov/css.
Citizens requesting a new utility service must allow three business days for the request to be processed.
