Oklahoma City, OK – Oklahoma City Police are investigating a fatal stabbing that occurred late Sunday night near Northwest 22nd and Villa Avenue. Officers responded to the scene around 10 p.m. where a man was found outside an apartment building, suffering from apparent stab wounds. Despite police knowing that someone else was inside the building, no one answered when officers attempted to make contact.
The victim, identified as 38-year-old Joshua Stewart, was pronounced dead at the scene. His injuries were consistent with a stabbing, and investigators quickly began working to piece together the circumstances surrounding his death.
In an effort to secure the area and ensure public safety, authorities set up a perimeter around the building. Tactical teams were also deployed as the investigation unfolded.
Around 8 a.m. on Monday morning, police obtained a search warrant and entered the apartment. Inside, they found 39-year-old Latoya Hollis. She was taken into custody for questioning and later booked into the Oklahoma County Detention Center on a complaint of obstruction.
As of now, no formal charges have been filed, and the Oklahoma County District Attorney’s Office is reviewing the case to determine the next steps. The investigation remains ongoing.
