Deadly Altercation in Southwest Oklahoma City Leaves One Man Dead

Oklahoma City, OK – A deadly altercation at an event center in southwest Oklahoma City has left one man dead, according to authorities. The Oklahoma City Police Department responded to the scene at approximately 12 a.m. on Saturday, March 22, in the 2100 block of S. Portland Ave.

Upon arrival, officers learned that a fight involving a large crowd had broken out at the venue. During the altercation, 47-year-old Tommy Benson was struck in the head with a chair. He was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment but was later pronounced dead from his injuries.

Authorities have not made any arrests at this time, and the investigation into the incident is ongoing. Police are asking anyone with additional information to come forward and assist in the case.
