Oklahoma City Police Search for Suspect in Shooting Incident

Oklahoma City, OK — Oklahoma City Police are actively searching for a man involved in a shooting incident that occurred at a Northwest Oklahoma City home on March 30. Authorities released new surveillance footage of the suspect on Thursday, hoping it will lead to valuable information in the case.

The disturbing incident took place near Northwest 63rd and Meridian, when a group of individuals approached a residence. According to police, the group began shouting at someone inside the home, demanding to be let in. The homeowner, however, refused to open the door. This confrontation quickly escalated when one of the suspects, described as a man wearing a green hoodie, fired a gunshot through a window.

The bullet traveled through the house, narrowly missing anyone inside. The home was occupied by several people at the time, including a child. Fortunately, no one was injured in the shooting, but the situation has left many shaken.

“It’s one of those things that could have turned out much worse than it did,” said Msgt. Gary Knight with the Oklahoma City Police Department. “Fires a round through a window, goes right through the house, could have hit and killed anybody.”

In the released video footage, the suspect can be seen alongside the group as they attempt to gain entry into the home. Police are urging anyone with information to come forward, as they work to identify and locate the shooter.

The incident has raised concerns about safety in the area, and authorities are treating it as a high-priority case. The Oklahoma City Police Department continues to investigate and is hopeful that the public’s assistance will lead to the suspect’s capture.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Oklahoma City Police Department or Crime Stoppers.
