Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Lieutenant Captures Escaped Inmate in Northeast OKC

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – An escaped inmate from the Clara Waters Community Corrections Center was apprehended late Friday evening in northeast Oklahoma City, according to the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office.

Jailen Oliver, who had been serving time for several burglary charges in Tulsa, was found near NE 10th St. and Bryant Avenue. Authorities reported that Oliver was still wearing his distinctive orange prison pants at the time of his capture.

The Sheriff’s Office took to social media, confirming that Oliver had escaped from the correctional facility at some point earlier that night. While the specific details surrounding his escape were not immediately clear, law enforcement officials were able to track him down quickly.

Oliver, whose criminal record includes multiple burglary offenses, was reportedly on the run for a brief period before being located and taken into custody by a Sheriff’s Lieutenant.

Local law enforcement is expected to provide additional information on the circumstances of Oliver’s escape as the investigation continues.
