ENID, Okla. — Authorities have made additional arrests in connection with the fatal shooting of a 17-year-old boy in Enid last week, according to the Enid Police Department.
Officers responded to multiple reports of gunfire around 10:40 p.m. on Thursday, April 10, in the 900 block of East Maple. Upon arrival, police discovered a male victim deceased in the backyard of a residence. The victim, later identified as Clayton Rowland, 17, of Enid, appeared to have died from gunshot wounds.
Following an investigation, detectives identified 19-year-old Trevion Hartfield as the primary suspect. A warrant was issued for his arrest on a first-degree murder complaint. He was taken into custody by members of the U.S. Marshals Service in Oklahoma City.
As the investigation progressed, police identified three additional individuals believed to have played a role in the incident. On Wednesday, April 16, Justine Hartfield, 20, Jaheim Hill, 22, and Gabrielle Franco, 20, were arrested on complaints of accessory to murder.
“There are other individuals involved, and we are working diligently to determine who they are,” said Lt. Bryan Hart of the Enid Police Department. “If you have any information, contact us.”
Authorities said the investigation remains ongoing and more arrests are expected.
“Detectives have worked tirelessly and will continue to do so until every individual responsible is taken into custody,” Hart said.
