NOBLE COUNTY, Okla. — A 28-year-old man from Red Rock lost his life early Saturday morning in a single-vehicle crash on Oklahoma State Highway 15.
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP), Roy M. Childs was driving westbound on OK-15 around 3:45 a.m., approximately one mile east of Red Rock, when his 2000 Honda Accord left the roadway and struck a concrete bridge railing. The vehicle came to a stop shortly after the impact.
Childs was transported to Integris Health Ponca City Hospital but was later pronounced dead.
The OHP report noted that Childs was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
