MOORE, OK — The Moore Police Department unexpectedly showed up at a teen party over the weekend, only to find the festivities winding down — and the signature Caymen Jack Margaritas already gone.
In a lighthearted statement released Monday, the department joked, “While we appreciate the invitation to the summer streets fireworks party, it’s a shame all the Caymen Jack Margaritas were gone before we made it!”
According to police, as officers arrived, many partygoers quickly dispersed, jumping fences to avoid contact with law enforcement. “Shame, guess they didn’t know we’re famous for running through and over fences,” the statement added, referencing the officers’ swift response.
The department also used the opportunity to remind residents about local curfew and fireworks ordinances. Officials directed the community to the city’s municipal code website for detailed information.
No arrests or injuries were reported at the event.
