Oklahoma City, OK – Newly released court documents have shed light on the disturbing events surrounding the arrest of a now-suspended Oklahoma City police officer, whose name has been identified as Officer Kitchens. The incident, which took place on the night of November 30, has prompted an ongoing investigation by the Oklahoma City Police Department.
According to the court records, Officer Kitchens was driving the victim and another woman home after a bar in Norman closed at around 2 a.m. The trio allegedly got into an argument during the drive, which, according to the victim, centered around a dispute over her phone. After dropping off the third passenger, Kitchens continued to drive the victim alone to her home. What followed, according to the victim’s statements to the police, was a terrifying escalation. The victim alleges that Officer Kitchens began threatening to kill her, her child, and himself, pulling out a firearm during the confrontation. The victim claims that he then began physically assaulting her, striking her multiple times in the face and head, and pulling her hair.
The situation reportedly took a darker turn when Kitchens allegedly drove the victim down back roads and parked near Southwest 15th Street and Mustang Road, close to a field. There, the victim alleges that he ordered her into the back seat of the vehicle, telling her he intended to have sex with her. Despite the victim’s refusal, she claims that, fearing for her and her child’s safety, she complied with his demands. According to the victim’s account, Officer Kitchens then sexually assaulted her for several minutes before finally taking her home. After dropping her off, he allegedly pointed a firearm at her head and threatened her not to report the incident to authorities. Terrified, the victim immediately called 911 once she was safely inside her residence.
The case has sparked outrage and concern, especially considering the officer’s role within the Oklahoma City Police Department. Although no charges have been formally filed against Officer Kitchens as of now, the investigation is ongoing. A search warrant for his phone has reportedly uncovered additional details related to the case, which had not been disclosed previously. Officer Kitchens has been suspended from the Oklahoma City Police Department, and the department has stated that it is taking the matter very seriously.
