ENID, OK — A fatal collision occurred Tuesday evening in the 3000 block of West Willow, resulting in the death of an 87-year-old woman. Enid Police Department officers responded to the crash scene shortly after 7 p.m. involving a 2012 Ford F-250 and a 2018 Toyota Highlander.
According to investigators, the Ford F-250, driven by 72-year-old Jose Alvarado, was traveling westbound on Willow when it collided with the Toyota Highlander, which was being driven by Margaret Jane Krick, a local resident.
Both drivers were transported to the hospital by Life EMS personnel. However, Krick was pronounced dead at the scene, while Alvarado received treatment and was later released.
Alvarado reported to officers that he was driving west on Willow when the Toyota attempted to pull out from the stop sign on Rockwood. He stated that he was unable to avoid the crash.
The collision remains under investigation by the Enid Police Department. Authorities are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact the department at 580-242-7000.
