Oklahoma City Father Killed in Tragic Motorcycle Accident

Oklahoma City, OK — A father of two tragically lost his life early Saturday morning after being struck by a vehicle while riding his motorcycle, just minutes after leaving work. The accident has left family, friends, and coworkers in shock and mourning.

Beau Acton, a well-liked and respected member of his community, was struck by a drunk driver just two minutes after departing his workplace at 3:13 a.m. on Saturday. Acton, who had been working late into the night, left as he always did, unaware that it would be his final moments with his colleagues.

Reba Williams, a close friend and coworker, recalled the moment when she saw the news report. “He took off and went left out of here like he always did; and that was at 3:13 Friday night, Saturday morning. And I saw on the news that the call came in at 3:15. Two minutes later,” she said. “I couldn’t believe it.”

The police investigation revealed that Acton was struck by a vehicle driven by 28-year-old Jennica Burton, who was later arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. According to the report, Burton exhibited signs of intoxication at the scene. Tragically, Acton was not wearing a helmet at the time of the collision, which may have contributed to the severity of his injuries.

No one in Acton’s family was initially notified of the accident. His friend, Reba Williams, explained that they learned of the tragedy from the news. “No one called the family. The family found out from the news actually. They realized that was his bike,” she said.

Acton was rushed to a nearby hospital, but despite efforts to save him, he succumbed to his injuries. His death has left a void in the lives of his loved ones, especially his two young children, who now face a future without their father.

Chad Gruver, a longtime friend of Acton, expressed his heartbreak and loss. “It’s been very, very rough when you lose the patriarch of the family,” he said. “He’s one of the good ones and we all want him back.”

For those who knew him, Beau Acton was more than just a colleague — he was a steady presence, someone who kept his workplace together. “He’s really good at keeping this place together and it’s never gonna be the same again,” said Reba Williams.

As the community grapples with the loss of a man described as a good father, friend, and coworker, the tragedy serves as a painful reminder of the dangers of driving under the influence. Acton’s friends, family, and coworkers continue to mourn the man they described as a constant source of support and stability.

Beau Acton’s passing has left an indelible mark on all who knew him, and his memory will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to call him a friend.
