OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Emergency crews responded swiftly to a truck fire near a truck stop at Interstate 35 and Northwest 122nd Street on Thursday afternoon.
The fire, which originated in the cab of a refrigerator truck, sent thick black smoke into the air as first responders worked to contain the blaze. Law Chopper 4 was on scene, capturing aerial footage as fire crews battled the flames.
Pilot reporter Mason Dunn, flying above the scene, reported that the fire appeared to be concentrated in the front of the vehicle, with flames engulfing the truck’s cabin before spreading. Thanks to the quick response of firefighters, the situation was brought under control before it could spread to surrounding vehicles or structures.
No injuries have been reported, and officials are continuing to investigate the cause of the fire. Traffic in the area was temporarily slowed as emergency vehicles worked on site, but no major disruptions were reported.
Authorities are expected to release more information as it becomes available.
