Enid Police Department and Fire Department honored by DeVaughn Foundation

Enid, OK – Enid Police Department and the Enid Fire Department – Enid, OK celebrated Officer Matthew Buck and Captain Cody Keller for being named Police Officer and Firefighter of the Year by the DeVaughn Foundation.

The awards honor the late Stephen DeVaughn, who dedicated his life to public service, including roles as a U.S. Treasury Department Customs agent, Secret Service officer, and special agent in charge of the New Orleans, New York City, and Criminal Divisions of Customs Enforcement.

After retiring, DeVaughn moved to Enid in 2000, serving as chairman of both the Police and Fire Civil Service Commissions.

Officials said the recognition highlights the dedication and service of Buck and Keller to the Enid community, continuing the legacy of commitment exemplified by DeVaughn.
