Oklahoma City, OK \u2014 A transformative new chapter has begun for Wings, an Oklahoma-based nonprofit that supports adults with developmental disabilities. On Wednesday, the organization unveiled its new Gregory and Sandra Olson Program Center \u2014 a 37,000-square-foot facility designed to enhance educational and life-enriching opportunities for its members.<\/p>\n

The expansion marks the completion of the first phase of Wings\u2019 ongoing campaign to grow its community and provide comprehensive programs that foster independence, creativity, and personal growth. Members now have access to a wide range of programs focused on hobbies, life skills, technology, spirituality, and community service \u2014 many of which are led by dedicated instructors and volunteers.<\/p>\n

\u201cI love everything up here. Wings is just perfect for me. It fits me really well,\u201d said Sarah Wolfe, a program member. Fellow member Chase Moles echoed the sentiment, adding, \u201cI have a lot of fun days here at Wings. They\u2019re really awesome.\u201d<\/p>\n

Currently, Wings serves more than 80 adults ranging in age from 18 to 63. With the newly opened center and further expansion on the horizon, the organization plans to grow its membership to 300 individuals. Additionally, future development on Wings\u2019 75-acre property includes plans for a communications building, a chapel, and residential living for up to 120 individuals.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is an amazing day for Wings,\u201d said Executive Director Laura Marcoux, highlighting the organization\u2019s long-term vision to create a thriving, inclusive campus for adults with developmental disabilities.<\/p>\n

Wings\u2019 expansion reflects a growing commitment to not just provide care, but to offer meaningful opportunities for learning, engagement, and community building \u2014 giving members a place to belong, grow, and thrive.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
